Rapid Descent Racing


Rapid Descent Racing has teamed up with Megaburn to take over the whitewater. The team, comprised of athletes Ben Maynard, Dan Hall and Stewart Bennett travel extensively to compete at the highest levels in the disciplines of wildwater, Xtreme, marathon, and multisport. Each paddler has won Australian Championships as individuals, and together are the reigning Australian Champion Team.


Dan Hall - Achievements so far;

  • 4 times and current Australian Wildwater Kayak Champion
  • Silver medal World Cup 5, Italy, 2007- Australia's first Wildwater medal at senior level
  • 2 times and current Australian Extreme Kayak Champion
  • From 6 World Cup races results achieved: 2nd, 8th, 10th, 11th, 14th & 15th
  • World Cup ranking of 7th, 2006
  • 4th place at World Cup Race 2, Italy 2006
  • 5th place teams race, World Championships 2006
  • 9th place at World Cup Race 3, Austria, 2006
  • Holder of race records on the Mersey, Leven and Franklin
